Hello
My name is Sam. I’m an empathetic designer

through physical and digital spaces.
My Work
Product Design Experience
Workforce Management
a suite of enterprise tools to help hourly associates and store leaders manage schedules, timekeeping, and attendance across thousands of Home Depot locations
Highlights
Workforce HQ A central management platform for store leaders to manage associate schedules, timekeeping, and attendance from a single interface
Workforce Xchange A shift marketplace that allows associates to post, claim, and swap shifts while giving leaders visibility and approval oversight
My Time Punch A streamlined time-tracking tool for hourly associates to clock in and out, view punch history, and trigger Predictability Pay compliance workflows
EUX Product Database
a centralized, searchable database built to give Enterprise UX teams instant access to product information that was previously scattered across Slack and an unreliable SharePoint list
Highlights
Centralized product hub A searchable, filterable database giving EUX teams instant access to product information previously scattered across Slack and SharePoint
End-to-end ownership Led discovery, schema design, interface design, and usability testing with no engineering support, using Airtable and AI to independently ship the product
Built for scale Embedded in UXFoundations with add/update workflows, approval automations, and an AI agent layer architected for natural language querying
Enterprise AI Design Experiments
End to End AI Design to Development Workflow Experiment
A 6-week structured pilot testing an end-to-end AI workflow that allows designers to work directly from code, eliminating handoff friction and accelerating prototyping.
Highlights
Seamless Onboarding Enable designers to access accurate, locally hosted prototypes using the product repository as a single source of truth
Direct-to-Code Design Allow designers to fine-tune front-end code with AI, eliminating handoff translation errors between design and development
Rapid Production & Polish Accelerate iteration and user testing to reduce design debt and improve visual quality within time and budget constraints
Figma Make Experiments
An A/B experiment testing whether Figma's AI-assisted design generation feature could meaningfully accelerate UX design workflows without sacrificing quality.Highlights
Measure Time Savings — Test whether Figma Make reduces design time compared to manual workflows across three realistic design tasks
Evaluate Design Quality — Assess whether AI-assisted prototypes maintain or improve quality relative to manual design using technical and UX quality rubrics
Inform AI Adoption — Use findings to shape how EUX adopts AI-assisted design tools, with guidance on training, human oversight, and rapid iteration practices
Architectural Design
Museum Redesign Study
A student case study reimagining the Atlanta's Trap Music Museum that bridges the physical and cultural gap between the west side of Atlanta and the broader city fabric. The design operates across three scales master planning, urban design, and museum architecture.
Highlights
Master Planning A renovated observation deck bridge along the Donald Lee Hollowell corridor connected to Marietta Street, preserving the iconic bridge's history while creating a new gateway into the site
Urban Design Three community-centered buildings housing 500 units of housing, a food court, and open green space, designed to balance public activity and private living through intentional adjacencies
Architecture A redesigned Trap Music Museum featuring an atrium, production spaces, classrooms, exhibit halls, and bridging moments that encourage integration between communities while celebrating the history and culture of trap music
Barcelona Flexible Housing Study
A student case study exploring a flexible housing structure designed to adapt to the evolving needs of its tenants over time, integrating staggered and nested spatial strategies that allow the building to grow alongside the humans who inhabit it
Highlights
Flexible Unit Design Staggered, proportional rooms and adaptable garden spaces that can expand into additional bedrooms, offices, or gathering spaces, allowing each unit to evolve with the tenant's changing needs
Courtyard & Light Wells A central courtyard that gradually opens upward through the building, paired with light wells that regulate temperature, bring natural light and air to every level, and connect residents to green roof spaces at the top
Communal Living Network Flex spaces distributed throughout the communal realm and a central atrium stair that encourages organic interaction between residents.
